Dressmaking

Would you love to learn how to make your own clothes but don't know where to start? Then this is the course for you. We will show you how to work from and pattern and sew your very first skirt. All our teachers who run this course are expert dressmakers and will pass on all their best tips and tricks. You will leave with a finished skirt and a pattern to take away with you.

This is a beginner's dressmaking class so no experience of dressmaking is required but you do need to know how to use a sewing machine. We will expect you to be have taken the Intro to sewing course or be at an equivalent standard.

What Can I Do After Taking This Dress Making Course?
Work in the fashion industry. After successfully completing this fashion course, you could apply for jobs within the fashion industry, retail industry or even the TV/film costume industry.
Start Your Own Business. After successfully completing this fashion course, you could start your own business and produce your own label, creating anything from aprons to wedding gowns.
Build Your Career. If you wish to continue your training you could apply to fashion and design colleges to obtain a design degree.
